The Magic Number

When it comes to putting your students in groups, a lot of problems can arise. Just remember that 3 is the magic number!
If you put students into 4s, students may split into 2 groups of 2.
Putting students into 5s provides the opportunity for students to hide in the crowd.
And, of course, 2 is a pair- not a group.

Groups of 3 allow everyone to speak and require all members to pull their weight! This is why, when it comes to group work, 3 is the magic number. 😄
